Our Summer has been busy!

We've been out providing sound systems at festivals, rigging truss structures at motorsport events, Providing production services to conferences, helping with technical support at conference venues, building stages, and a whole host of other event work!

Yamaha Active Speakers

We've just been testing our new Yamaha DXR speakers in the warehouse and the sound they produce is brilliant. 

With a range of DXR12's and DXR15's we can cater for all occasions, and we also have some DXS subs for those who want some real bass. With a range of inputs and built in amplifiers these are ideal for any event from a birthday disco to a full band gig. 

The DXR Series features a flexible onboard mixer with a variety of inputs, making it ideal for simple vocal/ instrument amplification. With its flexible IN/OUT connectivity, the DXR Series can comprise a full sound reinforcement system, or seamlessly integrate into a setup utilizing DXS Series speakers.

DXR Series loudspeakers offer superb high-definition sound and class-leading sound pressure levels—yet in a compact and extremely functional design that provides a level of versatility unmatched by any speaker in its class today. Walk like an Egyptian

Startech were very proud to have produced the recent British Egyptian Society Conference, Education: The Best Investment for the Future. The conference was held simultaneously in London and Cairo, with presentations and speakers in both venues broadcasting across two continents.

Startech provided staff and equipment in London at the Brunei Gallery whilst Roy was in Cairo ensuring that the Egyptian end of the conference was running smoothly.

Two screens and a full set were installed in London to ensure delegates could see the presentations and presenters whether they were in London or Cairo.

Startech's team worked through the night in London to ensure everything was ready for the conference to begin on time on the Tuesday morning and when the live connection to Cairo was made all the planning was worth it as the conference went without a hitch.

Barcelona Conference

After taking serious precautions to ensure that the artic’ containing kit travelled safely and in good time to Barcelona through the snow, the day the crew were booked to fly was the day that the Spanish air traffic controllers chose to go on strike. With a day lost for the get in the crew worked for 12 hours immediately upon arrival and again for 17 hours the following day installing four 16’ x 9’ screens and 12k projectors, a 20’ x 24’ stage with dance floor, lighting and sound, and 8 x 3.2m LED curtain. The one and a half day conference was dramatically opened by a dance troop and went on to be delivered in variously styled stages such as game show, storyteller and news broadcast. 220 delegates enjoyed the seamless production of the information being delivered followed by a comparatively relaxed get out.

Startech are supplying technical production for Chiltern Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. This Open Air performance will raise money for The Stroke Association and the Bucks Community Foundation, last years performances raised £10,000 for Thames Hospicecare. There are still tickets available for this weeks performances of arguably Shakespeare's most entertaining play.
